Accidents and incidents aren’t nice, but they do happen. What’s most important for you as a business owner is having a robust accident reporting policy in place. That means if an accident in the workplace does occur, you have everything you need in place to properly produce a report and do everything you can to prevent something happening again.
But you don’t have to go through that process on your own. Partnering with Citation means you’ll have 24/7 access to our experts, who can work with you to confidently create safe working practices.
We’ll let you know when incidents need escalating – and why. We’ll show you how to report incidents – legally. We’ll put measures in place to prevent the same thing happening twice. And if there’s a serious incident on your site, we’ll support you through the entire process.

Safe Working Practices Guidance
As an employer, you have a legal duty of care to protect your employees by implementing safe working practices. You know you’ve got to do it. But do you know how to do it?
Safe working practices are the backbone of your Health & Safetymanagement. Without them, you lack, well, safety! But it’s not just that. They provide tangible structure and consistency, and give you a benchmark of expectations to roll out across your business.
If you’re not a Health & Safety expert it can be hard to know your processes from your procedures, and your policies from your handbooks. The good news? With us by your side, you don’t need to be an expert at everything.

Health & Safety Policies & Procedures:
Having a company Health & Safety policy isn’t optional: it’s a legal requirement under the Health & Safety at work act. And if you have five or more employees on your books, it has to be in writing. It’s not just a must-have though, it really does just make good business sense too.
Your workplace Health & Safety policies provide clear communication, promote a cultural uptake for employee safety and enhance employee engagement. It might just seem like a piece of paperwork, but your policy goes a long way to showing employees that you genuinely care about their wellbeing.
We can prepare the perfect bespoke Health and Safety policy for your business or simply download one of our templates ready to simply edit to meet your needs.

Successfully manage your employee's HSE
The purpose of health and safety is to ensure a safe working environment for employees. In the UK, this requires employers to meet health and safety obligations, covered by a vast range of legislation.
Our factsheet looks at a wide selection of topics, from the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and some associated legislation, providing employers’ health and safety obligations which include carrying out risk assessments, publishing a health and safety policy, appointing health and safety representatives, and providing safety information and training.
We have around 100 regularly-updated factsheets providing overviews and information on all key topics.
